week 10
Thought of the week: "Excited, excited, EXCITED!"
Hi Friends!

I made it back from the Grand Canyon alive. It was such a spectacular experience. Spending 5 days and four nights in this place was one of the most rewarding things. From wildlife, beautiful nature and extreme weather: T'was a Mountaineer's dream!

Amidst the global COVID-19 crisis, I don't even know where to begin. If I wanted to update you - dear reader - on everything that has happened in the past two weeks I would sit here for about 50 hours writing everything down.

The virus has wreaked havoc on the global economy and economists - including my professors - are scared. As an economics major, I realize how difficult and trying this time and the following months or even years will be. This is why I have taken a step up in helping people. As soon as the stay-at-home order has passed, I want to organize students to help the elderly and the socioeconomically disadvantaged.

Something that has hit me pretty hard personally is that my math professor almost died because of the virus over Spring Break. He is a great mentor, a wonderful instructor and even better human being, So please, be careful and support people who need it <3

The Ambassador Program has come to near hault due to the constraints imposed by the virtualization process. Nevertheless, I am super happy to announce that I will be one of next year's Student Ambassador Interns! I am beyond pumped to grow as a leader and make an impact on my community!

Please stay safe and 'til next week!
