week 4

Thought of the week: "Treating yo'self is important!"

Now this week did definitely not go as I envisioned it. On wednesday night, I got really sick all of a sudden. Stomach cramps, other stomach problems, and strong fevers made this week relatively stressful for me. It was really challenging to complete all my assignments and responsibilities with bad physical health.

Nevertheless, I got to work a super cool event before all that happened: The Black History Month Luncheon.

Professor of Management, Dr. Lizzie Ngwenya-Scoburgh, was the speaker. As a native South-African, she spoke about Nelson Mandela and the history of Apartheid in her country. She tied her talk into US history as well tying together Dr. King's work with Mandela's.

She was a wonderful speaker!
