week 7
Thought of the week: "Keeping your head cool now will pay off later"
Open House is a wrap. Last week's Ambassador of the week - Emily - did a great job organizing and delegating. Not only did we have the chance to meet some of UCBA's next generation of students, we were also able to effectively convey information about who we are as an institution.
Exciting News!
After the Open House, we had a SOL get-together and went to the King's Island Haunt. It was amazing to reconnect with some of the SOLs who are not ambassadors. We had a lot of fun visiting haunted houses, riding roller coasters and eating phenomenal Graeter's ice cream.
This week I made an important decision regarding my long-term future. I modified my major. What was previously International Business and Economics will now be a double major in International Business and Business Analytics. I modified my second major due to the BANA major being a Bachelor's of Science (BSc). A BSc will enable me to stay in the US for an additional 3 years after my graduation. This is an important opportunity that I need to take advantage of. Even though I still want to go to grad school for a Master's in Economics, I need to think about my realistic opportunities!
This week, I am only doing Ambassador events on Monday. I tabled the Penny Wars and I organized and supervised IM Soccer again.

It is amazing to have Reading Days coming up, as I definitely need some time to catch up with responsibilities. When I started this semester, I was well aware of the work load I would have with all my roles, responsibilities and involvement. Despite my life being very busy, I know that it will pay off in a big way later. The stress that I am feeling right now will transform me into a more capable leader tomorrow.
