Thought of the week: "Start out strong to set yourself up for excellence!"
Furthermore, I was able to recruit for intramural sports this week. Being able to compete in sports on a branch campus is something that I really value. Not only can students stay physically active, it is an excellent bonding environment. I personally cannot wait to facilitate some of the events!

As a matter of fact, last year's intramural football events on wednesdays enabled me to make some awesome friendships! Together with my fellow ambassador Josh King and under the guidance of our "coach" Gabby Long, we would have certainly beat Alabama if we wanted to to! #UCBABearcats #WeWantSaban
Week 1 of Sophomore Year is a wrap! Needless to say, this week is one of the most stressful ones of the year: From getting hundreds of syllabi to getting back into a regular schedule; Week 1 never isn't hectic!

As an Ambassador, I was able to work some interesting events this week. I started out with staffing the information tables and being a resource to new students. Being involved in this type of work always reminds me why I do what I do. I love having a positive impact on people - no matter how small or insignificant it may seem! It is much more fulfilling to be able to give than to receive. While I am not trying to get too philosophical here, I strongly believe that more people should incorporate more philanthropic elements into their life's endeavors and their mission!

With living on the Uptown Campus and having the role of RA, I also got to experience what it means to be a liasion. There is a surprising amount of first-year Blue Ash students living in UC Housing which makes a knowledgeable contact person critical. I helped many people with questions regarding transportation, majors and extracurricular involvement. I am extremely blessed to be a leader that has been offered precisely the opportunities needed to help out this very specific student population group. After an eventful Week 1, I am more than pumped for what this semester will bring to the table!
