Thought of the week: "You are blessed!"
And in the blink of an eye the first semester of sophomore year is over. I cannot believe how awesome this semester was, in fact. This has been my best semester in terms of personal growth and fulfillment with my achievements. I managed to be active in over four clubs, take 15 credit hours, be a resident advisor, and a UCBA Ambassador. At times - especially the last six weeks - were not easy, at all. I had to overcome many obstacles but thanks to my amazing support system I was able to overcome all of them.

Winter break - for me - does not mean relaxing, at all. I am taking a fast-paced 4 credit hour Calculus class through an institution's online program on top of having to prepare for two CLEP exams.

Weirdly enough, none of this seems to be stressful. I think the reward that I receive from all this on a personal level exceeds the work by a lot.

I personally think that I did a good job as an Ambassador during my first semester. I tried my very best to prioritize the Ambassador role at all times despite having to juggle with academic challenges and life's challenges.

Nevertheless, I pride myself in holding myself to a high standard. This is why I have concrete goals regarding my Ambassador role next semester:

1. I want to be more approachable as a leader. I want to put myself in a position that enables me to help more of my teammates. Whether it concerns a last-minute pick-up shift or just somebody to talk to: I love every single one of my colleagues and this is why I want them to know that they can always come to me with problems. I will always have an open ear for people that I value and appreciate as much as my fellow ambassadors and ambassador interns!

2. I want to assume more responsibility! While this goes hand in hand with my first goal, I want to contribute more to the overall success and reputation of the Ambassador program on a holistic scale!

3. Lastly, I want to focus more on the goal that made me become an Ambassador in the first place. Making an impact on my community. I was so proud when I saw the impact that the Sustainability evening had. Next semester, I want to have a greater impact on students, faculty, and staff helping everybody succeed in their own path!
