week 3
Thought of the week: "I love what I do due to the impact I am having"
Things are moving forward! University of Cincinnati Blue Ash Sustainability is finally a recognized club! As one of the co-presidents, I am very proud of all the hard work that has gone into this achievement over the summer. We had the privilege of being able to present what we are all about on Tuesday's club fair!

The fair was held in the Muntz courtyard and we had many other organizations actively promoting themselves. The Student Life Office delievered with offering a board game club and having a large table for Veterans' Affairs - including Sisters in Arms. Our newly formed UCBA Student Government Tribunal managed to gain some popularity amongst the students, as well.

All in all, we had a well planned afternoon with snacks and music. Getting involved has never been this amazing!

News
III just handed in my first academic research proposal that I will also use as my Honors project!

The topic?I
Startting next semester, I will be conducting academic research on the following topic:

>Inequity in Higher Education: A social, structural and economic approach<
If you know me, you know that this is a topic that I am extremely passionate about it. Fortunately, as a student, I am right at the source of the problem. This week, I will get the chance to sit in on the "Regional Transition Large Committee" that will discuss budgeting and strategy for the UC Blue Ash College.

As a student leader, I see at as my duty to not only educate myself but also others about the elements of questionable integrity in higher educational institutions in the United States.

Even though this project will be very time-intensive, I know that change needs to happen. When I wake up in the morning, I know that I want to have an impact! I see it as my duty to help the individuals that are less privileged than me.

After all, no other than Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. summed it up better, when he said:

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"
