Thought of the week: "Give Thanks"
A short week, but an eventful one. With everybody getting ready to feast on turkeys, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, the lingering threat of finals seems a little bit more distant than it actually is. It is nice to be able to spend time with friends and family, and of course eat copious amounts of delicious foods!

My personal highlight of the week was working the Laurence F. Jones, III speaker event. Laurence is the founder and CEO of RiskVersity, a former Turner scholar and a UC alumnus. He talked about the importance of networking, a topic that I am very passionate about, as well!

I also thought it was funny to connect with him on LinkedIn a week before the event. In the context of networking, this is something he really appreciated!

UCBA inviting guest speakers in the context of the Entrepreneur Speaking Series is something that I have really appreciated. Being able to connect, network and grow as a professional transcends the academic boundaries of a business major. Whether you are a chemist, physicist or historian, networking is and always will be key!
